Discovering My Passion for Writing
I’ve always dreamed of being a writer. Years ago, when I worked as a family childcare provider, I took a course to become a trainer. This taught me how to create workshops on various childcare topics. Despite being an introvert, I discovered a passion for writing and teaching. I loved researching, writing, and discussing important issues with other childcare providers for several years.
Taking a Step Back
Due to a military move, I paused my writing and teaching to focus on homeschooling and homemaking. Yet, the desire to write never left me. Over the years, I’ve started numerous blogs—some free, some paid—but often felt too intimidated to share my thoughts online.
My Blog Journey
Here I am again, launching another blogging journey. I’ve invested more money than I initially intended to find a web host and secure legal pages for protection. Not being very tech-savvy, I followed a YouTube tutorial to set everything up. It looked easy and professional, but I still feel lost navigating this new site.
My Vision and Fears
I wanted a clean, simple platform to write, share my experiences, and maybe, if I’m ambitious enough, sell something down the line. Right now, I’m figuring out how to make my first post, and honestly, I’m terrified. I’d love to monetize my blog, but I don’t want to clutter it with ads, and I’m clueless about setting up affiliate links.
Dreams Beyond the Blog
I also dream of starting a podcast and creating a book club. At this moment, though, I sometimes feel like I’ve made a huge mistake.
