“Hey, I see you’ve met Teddy,” she says cheerfully.

You give a tentative wave, not wanting to intrude. She gestures invitingly.

You settle into an old rocker on the porch, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. She returns with a tray holding two steaming mugs of tea, sugar, a bowl of lemons, and a plate of homemade cookies.

“My name is Jana,” she says. “I’m so glad you stumbled onto my little piece of heaven.”

As you sip tea and nibble on cookies, she continues, “For many years, I followed others’ advice about who I should be. They told me my dreams were silly, impossible. For too long, I listened. But now, I’ve found my own path. A new adventure”

She looks at you thoughtfully. “Have you ever felt like that?”
